Bob Wood about to publish Alms for Oblivion

My colleague Robert Wood, two years ago Georgia Poet of the Year, has another poetry collection coming out from Finishing Line Press: Alms for Oblivion. Rupert Fike says this about the volume:

'Janus-faced and with an unerring ear for the minor key of humanity, Bob Wood’s, Alms for Oblivion docents the reader through the back alleys (and a few grand boulevards) of Western art whether it be Coryate tramping across Europe in the 1600s or Emmett Kelley stooping to sweep that last photon into the dust pan.  All in the cool morning air of Oxford before the first tour bus arrives - where we can contemplate Ruskin's prudery in the same light as a Chet Baker lament, Blenheim Palace as much a place to get out of as Dodge City. And as Wood notes in “The Count to His Lover”: "In the end, my heart has a stake in it too."  Indeed we all share a stake in this conversation about the conversation that's been going on a long time.'
