LMC teams up with Amazon

My School of Literature, Media, and Communication and the Georgia Tech Women's Resource Center are teaming up with amazon.com to bring you:

Good Girls Revolt: Screening and Panel Discussion
Location: Clary Theatre in the Bill Moore Student Success Center, Georgia Tech
Date: October 26, 2016
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Based in 1969, Amazon Studios’ Good Girls Revolt follows a group of young female researchers, Jane Hollander, Patti Robinson, and Cindy Reston at “News of the Week” who simply ask to be treated fairly.  Their revolutionary request will spark convulsive changes and upend marriages, careers, sex lives, love lives, and friendships. The pilot is inspired by the landmark sexual discrimination case chronicled in Lynn Povich’s book The Good Girls Revolt and features characters based on the real Nora Ephron and Eleanor Holmes Norton.  Starring Genevieve Angelson, Anna Camp, and Erin Darke, the series captures the generation of women who lived through this historic equal rights case and women’s rights movement.

Georgia Tech’s School of Literature, Media, and Communication and Women’s Resource Center invite you to a screening of the Good Girls Revolt pilot followed by a panel discussion with Georgia Tech faculty, Carol Colatrella and Karen Head, current students, Kendall Rankin and Raksha Muthukumar, and Georgia Tech alumna, Sene Sorrow.  Executive Producer, Lynda Obst, will also be joining the conversation. Lynda is a Film & Television producer who has worked at almost every major studio and produced more than twenty films and television shows.  She is also known for her best-selling book, Hello He Lied: And Other Truths from the Hollywood Trenches.
